Poashtu ne vitin 2004 ka publikuar albumin e saj te pare, me titullin JoJo. Albumi arriti vendin e #4 ne toplisten amerikane dhe vendin #10 ne toplisten e R'n'B te ShBA-ve. Ne vitin 2006 ajo ka publikuar albumin e saj te dyte, te ashtuquajtur The High Road. Albumi arriti qe ne javën e pare, vendin e 3 ne toplisten Billboard dhe vendin 3 ne toplistën US R'n'B. JoJo deri me tani ka shitur 7 milionë kopje te albumeve dhe me shume se 10 milionë kopje te këngëve te saj. Ajo është nje nga këngëtaret me te njohur ne Amerike.

JoJo është rritur ne Boston, Massachusetts në një familje të varfër. Prindërit e saj u ndanë, kur JoJo i mbushi tre vjet. Nena e saj ishte një këngëtare, e cila këndonte në kishe. Ajo i mësonte këngët në shtepi. JoJo kishte shumë dëshire ta ndegjonte të ëmën e saj, ajo në moshën e fëmijërisë është munduar të këndonte si ajo.

Ajo se pari ne skene, ishte ne emisionin "Kids Say The Darnest Things On The Road in Boston" me moderatorin Bill Cosby në vitin 1998. Ajo ka kënduar këngën Respect nga Aretha Franklin. Me zërin e saj te bukur, ajo e fitoj publikun në anën e saj. Pastaj ajo është ftuar në emisionin e Oprah Winfrey.
