Ne vitin 2006 ajo ka publikuar albumin e saj te dyte, te ashtuquajtur The High Road. Albumi arriti qe ne javën e pare, vendin e 3 ne toplisten Billboard dhe vendin 3 ne toplistën US R'n'B. JoJo deri me tani ka shitur 7 milionë kopje te albumeve dhe me shume se 10 milionë kopje te këngëve te saj. Ajo është nje nga këngëtaret me te njohur ne Amerike.

JoJo është rritur ne Boston, Massachusetts në një familje të varfër. Prindërit e saj u ndanë, kur JoJo i mbushi tre vjet. Nena e saj ishte një këngëtare, e cila këndonte në kishe. Ajo i mësonte këngët në shtepi. JoJo kishte shumë dëshire ta ndegjonte të ëmën e saj, ajo në moshën e fëmijërisë është munduar të këndonte si ajo.
