William Tufnell Le Queux, i lindur në Londër më 2 korrik të vitit 1864 dhe vdiq më 13 tetor të vitit 1927 në Knokke, Belgjikë, ishte një shkrimtar, gazetar Anglezo-Francez një kohësisht korrespondent i luftës britanike. Ai ishte gjithashtu një diplomat dhe Konsull i Nderit i San Marinos. Si një udhëtar i madh, ai vizitoi Afrikën e Veriut, Evropën duke përfshirë edhe Ballkanin veriun e Shqiperisë. Ai gjithashtu mund të konsiderohet si një pionier në aviacion dhe radio. ishte pjesë e organizatorëve të mbledhjës ajrore të Doncasterit në vitin 1909 dhe shpërndante programet e tij muzikore shum më parë se lansimi i radiove të mëdha zyrtare. Veprat e tij më të mira dhe të njohura janë Anti-Francez , Anti-Rus, Lufta e Madhe në Angli në 1897(1894), Anti-gjerman dhe Pushtimi vitit 1910. Ai mori një edukim evropian, në Itali dhe studioi pikturimin në Francë. Babai i tij ishte një asistent tekstilësh francez dhe nëna e tij ishte angleze, prejardhja e tij e pjesshëme franceze nuk e ka penguar atë të përshkruante Francën dhe francezët si të këqinj në veprat e vitit 1890, edhe pse më vonë ai caktoi këtë rol në Gjermani.

Le Queux shkroi kryesisht në zhanret mister, thriller, dhe spiunazh,sidomos gjatë viteve të Luftës Parë Botërore kur partneriteti i tij manjati botues britanik Alfred Harmsworth e çoi në publikimin e serializuar dhe publikimin intensiv të (Regent Street duke përfshirë aktorë të veshur si ushtarë gjermanë që ecin së bashku ) tregime të zhanrit pulp-fiksion spiunazhë dhe literaturë pushtimi: të tilla si The Invasion of 1910, The Poisoned Bullet, dhe Spies of the Kaiser. Këto vepra ishin një fenomen i zakonshëm në paraprak të luftës së parë botërore në evropë që përfshinë tregime të imagjinuara për pushtimin e mundur ose depërtimit nga fuqitë e huaja;Specialiteti i Le Queux-së, është vlerësuar shumë nga Northcliffe,ishte gjatë pushtimit gjerman të Britanisë.
