Antisteni

Antisteni (Greqishte e lashtë: Ἀντισθένης,; rr. 446 – rr. 366 p.e.s.) ishte një filozof grek dhe një nxënës i Sokratit. Antisteni fillimisht mësoi retorikë nga Gorgias përpara se të bëhej një dishepull i zjarrtë i Sokratit. Ai përvetësoi dhe zhvilloi anën etike të mësimeve të Sokratit, duke mbrojtur jetën asketike të jetuar në përputhje me virtytin. Shkrimtarët e mëvonshëm e konsideruan atë si themeluesin e filozofisë cinike.

Nofka e Antistenit ishte Qeni (Absolut) ( ἁπλοκύων, Diog. Laert. 6.13).^[1]^[2]^[3]
