Maia Emilia Ninel Morgenstern (rumanisht shqiptim: [ˈmaja ˈmorɡənʃtern] (
të dëgjuar); lindur me 1 maj 1962) është një aktore rumune e filmit dhe teatrit,[1] e përshkruar nga Florin Mitu i AMOSI News si "një simbol i teatrit dhe filmit rumun".[2] Ajo më së shumti është e njohur për rolin e Maries, Nënës së Jezusit, në filimin e Mel Gibson The Passion of the Christ. Në Rumani, ajo ka qenë e njohur që në vitin 1992 në rolin si Nela në Balanţa, një film i njohur në Shtetet e Bashkuara të amerikës si The Oak, i vendosur gjatë ditëve të fundit të Rumanisë komuniste.[1]

E lindur në Bukuresht, në një familje çifute,[1] ajo u diplomua nga Akademia e Filmit dhe Teatrit të Bukureshtit në vitin 1985. Më pas ajo ka luajtur në Teatrul Tineretului (Teatri i të Rinjve) në Piatra Neamţ deri në vitin 1988, dhe në Teatrul Evreiesc de Stat (Teatrin shtetëror çifut) në Bukuresht 1988-1990.
