How to use the template

You only need to edit the foreground (circle), the shadow is already present as clone (if on edit the clone is lost check the object id).

The template uses mainly six colors:

• border1 - #FDD 00 (light border)
• border2 - #E77 00 (middle border)
• shadow - #900 00 (shadow, also dark border)
• circle - #FCC 00 (foreground, inner circle)
• inner1 - #E99 00 (light inner background gradient start)
• inner2 - #C11 00 (dark inner background gradient end)

To change the color it is best to replace the strings in an editor. To calculate the values of the new colors you enter the values above into a color chooser (e.g. Gimp or Inkscape) and change the hue. For a greenish icon the first colors would become (hue change of 120°):

• border1 - #DF6 00
• border2 - #9E0 00
• shadow - #040 00
• circle - #CF0 00
• inner1 - #9E0 00
• inner2 - #1A0 00

The theme in the middle of the icon consists of three parts. The foreground (color1), the drop shadow (color4) and a highlight (inner2). You align the shape to be cut out with the foreground and the background. With the "Difference" function from the "Path" menu of Inkscape you remove the shape from both the foreground and the background. The highlighting circle goes beind the the two shapes and stays intact.
