Jerevani është qyteti më i madh dhe kryeqyteti i Armenisë. Ai është qendra kryesore ekonomike e vendit dhe është shpallur Kryeqytet në 1918. Gjatë sundimit Sovjetik ai u kthye në një qytet tipik me arkitekturë sovjetike.Ai iu nënshtrua një rikonstruktimi gjatë viteve 2000 dhe u shtuan ndërtesat me arkitekture moderne. Popullsia është gati sa 1/3 e popullsisë së Armenisë.
Jerevani eshte me i vjeter se Roma. Anktualisht eshte 2793 vjet i vjeter.
