George Bernard Shaw

George Bernard Shaw (Dublin, 26 korrik 1856 - Ayot St. Lawrence, 2 nëntor 1950), dramaturg anglo-irlandez.

Në Dublin mësoi për ndihmës të shitësit, a më 1876 shpërnulet për në Londër. Është marrë me muzikë dhe kritikë të teatrit, ndërsa më 1925 është fitues i Çmimit Nobel për Letërsi. "Pygmalion", tregim me temë dashuri-linguistikë për profesorin Higgins dhe Elizi Doolitle, sigurisht se është pjesa më e mirë dhe më e njohur teatrore e G.B.Shawit, por përveq ktyre komedive, ka shkruar edhe drama qytetare në stilin ibsenovian duke e kritikuar moralin gënjeshtar. Mjeshtër i gjuhëve të ndërsjella dhe paradokseve.
