Symphony X është grup progressive metal amerikan nga Middletown, New Jersey. I themeluar në vitin 1994, grupi përbëhet nga kitaristi Michael Romeo, tastieristi Michael Pinnella, bateristi Jason Rullo, vokalisti Russell Allen dhe basisti Michael LePond.
Ata arritën sukses komercial të pjesërishëm me albumin e vitit 2007, Paradise Lost, dhe me albumin e vitit 2011, Iconoclast, i cili arriti pozitën e 76të në Billboard 200.
Albumet The Divine Wings of Tragedy and V: The New Mythology Suite u inçizuan pjesërisht në "The Dungeon", studion shtëpiake të Michael Romeo. The Odyssey, Paradise Lost, Iconoclast and Underworld u inçizuan aty në tërësi dhe u prodhuan nga vetë Romeo.
