Drejtoria Arsimore e Filadelfias
Drejtoria Arsimore e Filadelfias (en: School District of Philadelphia) është një drejtori arsimore që përfshin të gjita shkollat publike në qytetin e Filadelfias, Pensilvani[1]. E themeluar në 1818, ajo është drejtoria arsimore e tetë më e madhe në vend[2].
Bordi i drejtorisë arsimore u krijua në 1850 për të mbikqyrur shkollat në Filadelfia. Akti i Asamblesë më 5 prill, 1867 vendosi se Kontrollorët e shkollave publike në Filadelia duhet të emëroheshin nga gjyqtarët e Gjykatës së kërkesave të zakonshme. Kështu nuk u lejua më emërimi i tyre nga çdo lagje. Kjo u realizua në mënyrë që politika të distancohej nga drejtimi i shkollave[3].
Si përfundim, drejtimi i Drejtorisë Arsimore iu la një bordi të emëruar nga kryetari i bashkisë. Kështu vazhdoi deri në vitin 2001 kur drejtoria u morr në ngarim të shtetit dhe guvernatorit iu la e drejta të emëronte një shumicë prej pesë anëtarësh në Komisionin e Reformuar Arsimor.[4][5]
