Barbara Graziosi
Barbara Graziosi është akademike dhe klasiciste italiane. Ajo është profesoreshë e klasikës në Princeton University. Interesat e saj shtrihen në letërsinë e vjetër greke, dhe mënyra në të cilën lexuesit e përvetësojnë.[1] Ajo ka shkruar gjerësisht mbi letërsinë homerike, në veçanti Iliadën, dhe më në përgjithësi mbi tranzicionin e Dymbëdhjetë Olimpianëve nga antikiteti në Renesancë. Hulumtimi i saj më i fundit, ishte një projekt i titulluar "Poetët e gjallë: Një Qasje e Re ndaj Poezisë së lashtë", e cila ishte financuar nga ana e Këshillit Evropian të Kërkimit.[2]

Barbara u lind në Trieste, Itali, dhe jetoi aty deri sa u bë 17. Ajo ndoqi një liceo classico lokal, dhe pastaj United World College of the Adriatic. Pasi fitoi një bursë nga qeveria lokale, studioi drejtimin Literae Humaniores në kolegjin Corpus Christi në Oksford, Angli. Ajo u diplomua më 1995 në Universitetin e Oksfordit me një diplomë Bachelor of Arts (BA) të klasit të parë. Ajo ndenji në Oksford dhe përfundoi Studimet Master (MSt) në vitin 1996.[3]
Pasi fitoi një bursë diplomimi, Graziosi shkoi në Universitetin e Kembrixhit për të ndërmarrur punë kërkimore pasuniversitare në kolegjin Magdalena , Kembrixh. Ajo mori diplomën Doktor i Filozofisë (PhD) në vitin 1999. Tema e saj e diplomës ishte titulluar "Inventing the poet: a study of the early reception of the Homeric poems,[4] ku merr shembull shkrimtarin Ismail Kadare.

Pas një kohe të shkurtër në Oksford, në New College, dhe pastaj në Universitetin e Leximit, si Ligjëruese e letërsisë klasike greke, ajo u vendos në Durham, në vitin 2001, fillimisht si ligjëruese, dhe pastaj si Lektore e Lartë në Klasikë.
Në vitin 2018 ajo iu bashkua Fakultetit të Klasikës në Universitetin Princeton.
