„Einen interessanten Einblick in den Vogelsaal des Naturkundemuseums Bamberg zeigt uns der Fotograf Ermell. Das streng symmetrisch geordnete Bild besticht durch den gut gewählten erhöhten Standort des Fotografen und dessen Fähigkeit, eine Innenaufnahme auch bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen gekonnt umzusetzen. Die Vögel in der Mittelachse des Bildes scheinen gerade im Moment des Abhebens auf den Betrachter zu zu fliegen.“
