Zef Mazi

Zef Mazi ka lindur me 27 janar 1956, ne Tirane, Shqiperi. Ai eshte ish diplomat shqiptar i karrieres i cili, qe nga viti 2011, sherben si Asistent Special per Strategjine i Drejtorit te Pergjithshem te Agjencia Ndërkombëtare e Energjisë Atomike. Ne kete funksion ai ka qene i ngarkuar per formulimin, planifikimin dhe zbatimin e strategjise per te gjithe Agjensine, si dhe per manaxhimin e risqeve dhe te dijeve.[1] [2][3][4]

Zef Mazi & Yukiya Amano (IAEA)

Zef Mazi ka qene Ambasador i Republikes te Shqiperise ne Mbreterine e Bashkuar te Britanise te Madhe dhe Irlandes te Veriut si dhe ne Republiken e Irlandes (2007-2011). Para kesaj, Zef Mazi ka qene Ambasador dhe Perfaqesues i Perhershem i Shqiperise ne Zyren e Komnbeve te Bashkuara ne Vjene, ne Agjensine Nderkombetare te Energjise Berthamore (ANEA), ne Organizaten per Bashkepunim dhe Siguri ne Evrope (OSBE), ne Organizaten per Zhvillimin Industrial te Kombeve te Bashkuara (UNIDO), ne Organizaten per Ndalimin e Plote te Provave Berthamore (1992-1997 dhe 2002-2007, respektivisht). Ai ka qene kryetar i Forumint per Bashkepunim per Ceshtjet e Sigurise te OSBE (2003), dhe ka sherbyer edhe ne Sekretariatin e OSBE-se dhe te ANEA-s (1998-2002). [5] Zef Mazi ka qene Kryetar ne Detyre Misioni ne Ambasaden e Republikes te Shqiperise ne Austri dhe ne Konfederaten Zvicerane (1991-1992). Para kesaj, ai ka sherbyer ne Departamentin e Bashkepunimit Shumepalesh te Ministrise te Jashtme te Shqiperise ne Tirane, i ngarkuar per KSBE-ne, si dhe anetar i delegacionit te perhershem te Shqiperise ne negociatat per rivendosjen e marredhenieve diplomatike ndermjet Britanise te Madhe dhe Shqiperise (1989-1991).[6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

Zef Mazi ka sherbyer edhe si shef i zyres te marredhenieve me jashte te Drejtorise te Pergjitheshme to PTT-se (1987-1989), si dhe perkthyes/editor ne Shtepi Botuese dhe, ne te njejten kohe, lektor i jashtem ne Universitetin e Tiranes (1978-1988) dhe foles ne Radio Tirana Sherbimi ne gjuhe te huaja (1975-1985).

Zef Mazi ka qene kandidat per president ne zgjedhjet presidenciale ne Shqiperi (2002), si dhe kandidati zyrtar i Shqiperise per postin e Sekretariat te Pergjithshem te OSBE-se (2005).[13]

Zef Mazi, gjate karieres se tij, eshte ftuar si leksor per te mbajtur leksione mbi ceshtje te marredhenieve nderkombetare dhe per analiza politike, per nje numer aspektesh qe lidhen me sigurine, strategjine, ceshtje te karakterit berthamor dhe ato politiko-ushtarake. Ai ka botuar nje number artikujsh mbi ceshtje politike rreth Shqiperise dhe Ballkanit ne shtypin shqiptar, ate kosovar dhe ate nderkombetar.
