Elizabeth Taylor (Liz Tejlor) lindi në Angli më 27 shkurt 1932. Suksesin e parë e pati në moshën 11 vjecare me filmin “Lesi”, por në kinema kishte debutuar një vit më parë. Më pas kaloi nga një sukses në tjetër me interpretime të paharrueshme si në “Gra të vogla” , “Babai i nuses” dhe “Babai bëhet gjysh“(1950 e 1951), “Një vend në diell” (1951). Periudha e saj e artë është në vitet 50 dhe fillimi i viteve 60-të me filma që kanë bërë histori në kinema “Gjigandi” (1955), “Pema e jetës” (1957), “Macja në catinë që lëviz” (1958), “Kleopatra (1963) etj. Në këtë film nisi dhe historinë e dashurisë me Richard Burton, me të cilin u martua dy herë, një në 1964, dhe u divorcua në 1974. Gati një vit më vonë u rimartuan për tu rindarë më 1976. Gjithsej Liz është martuar 8 herë me 7 burra dhe mbeti një herë e ve. Nga bashkëshortët e saj ajo pati 3 fëmijë.
