Lojrat Olimpike Verore 2012, zyrtarisht Games of the XXX Olympiad,^[1] gjithashtu njihen edhe si Londër 2012, filluan në Londër, Mbretëria e Bashkuar, më 27 korrik dhe do të vazhdojë deri 12 gusht 2012. Ngjarja e parë, faza e grupeve në futbollin e femrave, filloj dy ditë më parë, 25 korrik ^[2]^[3]. Rreth 10,500 atletë nga 204 vende të Komitetit Kombëtar Olimpik (NOC) pritet të marrin pjesë ^[4].
