University Metropolitan Tirana is a private institution of higher education located in Tirana, Albania . The university focused on engineering sciences, architecture, and economics, is committed to develop students as professionals in contemporary fields of innovation and technology. With an internationally acclaimed academic and research staff, an infrastructure of 11 laboratories, study opportunities abroad through collaboration with numerous European universities, it has been recognized as ‘Excellent,’ securing institutional accreditation from the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the British Accreditation Agency. UMT is also the first university in Albania offering Ph.D. program in ‘Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems’ and Bachelor’s program in ‘Artificial Intelligence”.

Our mission is to create, develop, convey and protect knowledge, through teaching, scientific research, services and training of senior specialists in the fields of engineering, architecture, computer science and economics, in accordance with the country's development priorities. Our vision is to build a modern university, focused on the future, valuable for the Albanian society, contributing to the increase of the standards of democracy in the country, as well as to the economic, social and cultural development at the national and regional level.

Doctoral School in Artificial Intelligence[Redakto | Redakto nëpërmjet kodit]

The unique PhD program in Albania in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems aims to contribute to the science of Artificial Intelligence in the fields of medicine, energy, robotics, finance, economy, education, defense, transport and many others. UMT's internal lecturers and a number of foreign lecturers and scientific researchers at the most prestigious universities in France and the United States have been engaged in this scientific project.
