Bora (erë)

Bora (μπόρα greke, "era e ftohtë", "rrebesh e ftohtë" e veri, fjalë për fjalë "Veriut" ; por mundet që vjen edhe nga shqipja apo ilirishtja si ere e shkaktuar nga era që krijohet nga Bora) është një erë e thatë, të ftohtë dhe i hazdisur bien në mes Triestes dhe Kvarner dhe Istrias dalmat dhe Malit të Zi bregdetin e Adriatikut.
Erërat nga lloji bora përfshijnë frekuencën e tyre dhe me shpejtësi te larta mesatare e tyre, veçanërisht në mes Triestes dhe veriperëndim bregdetin e Kroacisë dhe të pjesëve të Dalmacisë jugore dhe Malit të Zi, më të fortë në botë. Shpejtësi me madhemund të arrijë vlera deri në 250km/h.
