Jeta e hershme
[Redakto | Redakto nëpërmjet kodit]James Adam Belushi lindi më 15 qershor 1954, në Wheaton, Illinois, nga Adam Anastos Belushi, një shqiptar nga Qyteza e Korçës dhe Agnes Demetri Belushi, e cila lindi në Ohio nga emigrantë shqiptarë nga Korça.[1] Ai u rrit në Wheaton, një periferi e Çikagos, së bashku me tre vëllezërit e motrat e tij: vëllain më të madh John, motrën më të madhe Marian dhe vëllain më të vogël Billy.[2][3][4] Pas mbarimit të Wheaton Central High School në vitin 1972, Jim Belushi ndoqi College of DuPage dhe u diplomua në Southern Illinois University Carbondale me një diplomë bachelor në Artet e të folurit dhe teatrit në vitin 1978.[5]
Karriera
[Redakto | Redakto nëpërmjet kodit]Nga viti 1977 deri në vitin 1980, Belushi, ashtu si vëllai i tij më i madh John, punoi me grupin teatror të Çikagos The Second City. Gjatë kësaj periudhe, Belushi bëri debutimin e tij televiziv në vitin 1978 Who's Watching the Kids dhe gjithashtu pati një pjesë të vogël në The Fury të Brian De Palma. Roli i tij i parë i rëndësishëm ishte në Thief të Michael Mann (1981).
