Paul R. Bartrop (lindur më 3 nëntor 1955) është një historian australian i Holokaustit dhe gjenocidit . Nga gushti 2012 deri në dhjetor 2020 ai ishte Profesor i Historisë dhe Drejtor i Qendrës për Studime Judaike, Holokausti dhe Gjenocid në Universitetin e Floridës Gulf Coast, Fort Myers, Florida . [1] Midis 2020 dhe 2021, ai ishte një Profesor Vizitues nderi në Universitetin e Uellsit të Ri Jugor, Canberra (Akademia Australiane e Forcave të Mbrojtjes). Në prill 2021 ai u bë Profesor Emeritus i Historisë në Universitetin e Gjirit të Bregut të Floridës, dhe në 2022 ai u bë anëtar nderi kryesor në histori në Universitetin e Melburnit. Gjatë vitit akademik 2011-2012 ai ishte profesor i nderuar vizitor Ida E. King i Studimeve të Holokaustit dhe Gjenocidit në Kolegjin Richard Stockton të Nju Xhersit . [2]

Bartrop rrjedh nga një i dënuar britanik i dërguar në Tokën e Van Diemen në fillim të viteve 1820, James Bartrop dhe gruaja e tij Elizabeth Wright Bartrop. Ai është djali i Donald Anthony Bartrop (1918-1974) dhe Barbara Eileen Bartrop, e née Page (1920-2013). Ai ndoqi Universitetin La Trobe të Melburnit (BA Hons, 1977; MA, 1982) dhe mori doktoraturën nga Universiteti Monash në 1989, me një disertacion të titulluar Indiferenca dhe shqetësimi: Politika e Qeverisë Australiane ndaj Refugjatëve nga Nazizmi, 1933-1939. Në vitin 1990 ai u emërua Anëtar Nderi i Jetës së Muzeut Hebre të Australisë, dhe midis 1991 dhe 1993 ai shërbeu si president i Shoqatës Australiane për Studime Hebraike, duke qenë më parë Zëvendës-President i asaj organizate. Në vitin 2008 ai u nderua me titullin "Mik i Komunitetit Armen" nga Komiteti Kombëtar Armen (Kapitulli i Melburnit), dhe në vitin 2011 mori një çmim shërbimi të shquar nga Komuniteti Asirian i Melburnit për punën e tij në ndërgjegjësimin për gjenocidin. Në korrik 2010 Bartrop u emërua si anëtar i Këshillit Ndërkombëtar të Shërbimit Austriak Jashtë vendit . Në vitin 2013 ai u zgjodh nënkryetar i Shoqatës së Studimeve Hebraike të Midwest në Shtetet e Bashkuara, një pozicion që e mbajti deri në pensionimin e tij në vitin 2020.

Në dhjetor 2022, Paul Bartrop u zgjodh anëtar i Shoqërisë Historike Mbretërore (FRHistS) në Mbretërinë e Bashkuar.
